Editorial Policy
Last updated July 25, 2026
Purpose and Scope
Elevation Finance publishes educational content about investing, portfolios, exchange-traded funds, and personal finance. This policy explains how we research, write, review, update, and correct that content.
Our content is intended to help readers understand financial concepts and compare approaches. It is not individualized investment, legal, or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold a security.
Research and Sources
We prioritize primary and authoritative sources. Depending on the subject, these may include fund issuer pages and prospectuses, SEC and other government publications, regulatory filings, original books and papers, index-provider methodology, and statements from a strategy's creator.
Material facts, portfolio allocations, fees, historical claims, and methodology statements should be supported by nearby citations whenever a public source is available. We do not knowingly publish invented data, unsupported numbers, or fabricated quotations.
Market Data and Calculations
Market prices, distributions, and calculated results can change and may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. Pages that use market data identify the applicable measurement period or as-of date and explain the calculation when context is needed.
Calculated figures are estimates based on the cited inputs and methodology. They are not forecasts or guarantees. Readers should verify current prices, distributions, yields, expense ratios, tax treatment, and fund documents before acting.
Writing and Editorial Review
Content is written for clarity and accuracy, with important limitations and risks presented alongside potential benefits. We distinguish income from total return, historical results from forecasts, and educational examples from personalized advice.
A visible publication date records when educational content was first published. A last-reviewed date changes only after a substantive factual or editorial review; routine styling, technical, or automated market-data updates do not by themselves constitute an editorial review.
Updates and Corrections
We update content when we identify a material error, a source changes, or new information makes an explanation misleading or incomplete. Minor spelling, formatting, and accessibility corrections may be made without a correction notice.
When a material factual error changes the meaning or conclusion of a page, we correct it promptly and add context when a reader would otherwise be misled. To report a possible error, email me with the page URL, the statement in question, and a supporting source if available.
Conflicts of Interest and Portfolio Disclosure
The publisher may own securities discussed on the Site. A portfolio explicitly labeled as the publisher's portfolio is a personal example, not a model suitable for every reader. Personal ownership does not change our sourcing standards and is not presented as evidence that an investment is appropriate.
Elevation Finance does not accept payment from a fund issuer to alter a ranking, calculation, or editorial conclusion. If sponsored content is introduced, it will be clearly labeled and kept distinct from independent editorial content.
Advertising and Affiliate Links
The Site may display advertising supplied by third-party advertising services, including Google AdSense. Advertisers do not approve or control our editorial content.
If a link can generate a commission or other compensation for Elevation Finance, it will be identified as an affiliate or compensated link near the link or in a clear page-level disclosure. Compensation does not increase the price paid by the reader unless explicitly stated.
Use of Tools
We may use software and automated tools to assist with research organization, calculations, market-data updates, drafting, editing, and site maintenance. Tool output is not treated as an authoritative source. Claims and figures must still be checked against appropriate sources before publication.
